Milligan Juried Art Exhibition opens April 25


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 19, 2011) — The annual Milligan College Juried Art Exhibition will showcase the top student art projects of the year from Monday, April 25, through Monday, May 2.

This free exhibit will be on display in the Milligan Art Gallery, located in the lower level of Derthick Hall.

Juror Dick Nelson, owner of Nelson Fine Art and Tree House Gallery in Johnson City, Tenn., will select projects to be featured in the show. Only the best art, photography, sculpture and digital media projects will be selected for display. Awards of excellence and merit will also be given to standout pieces.

“This is an important show for the Milligan students,” said Alice Anthony, associate professor of art at Milligan. “It is the culmination of much hard work and showcases what Milligan fine arts is all about.”
