MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN. (February 25, 2010) – Dr. Tim Elmore, founder and president of Growing Leaders Inc., will speak at Milligan College on Thursday, March 4, at 11 a.m. in Seeger Memorial Chapel and again at 7 p.m. in the Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts. Both events are free and open to the public. Registration is required for the evening session.
Growing Leaders Inc. is a non-profit organization that develops emerging leaders. With more than 20 years of teaching experience in over 36 countries, Elmore is committed to helping student leaders find God’s call in their lives, refine their purpose and learn how to become better leaders.
“We’re excited to have Tim on campus,” said Phyllis Fox, director of church relations and Youth in Ministry (YiM) at Milligan. “The evening session was created especially for student leaders in our community. This is a great opportunity for them to learn and grow from Tim’s expertise and each other, through interactive exercises and discussion.”
Elmore and his team work with middle, high school and college students on hundreds of campuses across the nation such as Duke University, Stanford University, Liberty University, Asbury College, Florida State University and University of South Carolina.
He has also taught leadership seminars for corporations such as The Home Depot, Chick-Fil-A, HomeBanc, Home and Garden Party and others. He has authored 21 books, including bestsellers “Life GIVING Mentors,” “Habitudes: Images that Form Leadership Habits and Attitudes” and “Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child.” His vision for leadership development has been aired on national radio broadcasts and ABC’s Family Channel.
Elmore has been a member of leadership teams in five organizations since 1979. He formerly served as the vice president of leadership development for EQUIP Inc., a non-profit organization whose objective is to train 50 million leaders worldwide by 2020.
