MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 17, 2009) – This weekend students enrolled in the master of business administration (MBA) program at Milligan College are bringing their friends and colleagues to class with them to experience what Milligan’s MBA program would be like as a student.
“Our ‘Bring a Friend Weekend’ provides professionals interested in learning more about Milligan’s MBA program a unique opportunity to experience our classes and professors first-hand,” said Courtney Kieslich, director of graduate admissions at Milligan. “Guests will sit through a portion of a class and then meet with a graduate admissions specialist to learn more about the program.”
Milligan’s 18-month MBA program is designed to prepare students for roles of leadership in business through a cohort-based, 40-credit hour degree. Students meet once a month on Milligan’s campus while keeping in contact with faculty and other students via internet throughout the course.
Since its establishment in February 2004, 101 students have graduated from the MBA program. The program began with 21 students and now approximately 70 students are enrolled. Milligan has also added more full-time faculty to the business area to help develop the graduate degree.
“Our MBA combines Milligan’s traditions of academic excellence and Christian servant-leadership in such a way that our graduates carry a strong Christian-based moral and ethical framework which they apply every day at their workplace,” said John Keyt, director of the MBA program. “Since the program is a hybrid of traditional and on-line delivery methods it has given our business faculty an opportunity to develop a broad array of teaching-learning experiences.”
Milligan College’s MBA program is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and is a member of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
