MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 6, 2009) – Author Lauren Winner will speak at Milligan College on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. in Seeger Memorial Chapel and again at 7 p.m. in Hyder Auditorium, located in the science building.
Winner is the author of “God Meets Girl,” “Mudhouse Sabbath” and “Real Sex: The Naked Truth About Chastity.” She has appeared on PBS’s “Religion and Ethics Newsweekly” and has written for “The New York Times Book Review,” “The Washington Post Book World,” “Publishers Weekly,” “Books and Culture” and “Christianity Today.”
Winner, who recently was a visiting fellow at the Center for the Study of Religion at Princeton University, currently teaches at Duke Divinity School. She holds degrees from Duke University, Columbia University and a Ph.D. in history from Cambridge University.
The Feb. 10 lectures are free and open to the public.
