MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (May 1, 2008) — The 2008 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges will include the names of 14 students from Milligan College who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
They join an elite group of students from more than 2,000 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.
Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
Students named this year from Milligan College are:
Micah Antanaitis, a humanities major from Hermitage, Tenn.
Jaime Becker, a psychology major from Mooreland, Ind.
Margaret Blankenship, a public leadership and service major from McAllen, Texas
Miranda Byrd, a nursing major from Milligan College, Tenn.
Joshua Ferry, a humanities major from Johnson City, Tenn.
Kaitlyn Ferry, a music education major from Johnson City, Tenn.
Erika Fox, a communications major from Wellington, Fla.
Anna Gindlesperger, an English major from Bethel Park, Pa.
Joseph Brown, an applied finance and accounting major from Kingsport, Tenn.
Jeremiah Key, a psychology major from Walkertown N.C.
Amos Nidiffer, an English major from Johnson City, Tenn.
Samuel Osei-Bonsu, a biology major from Ghana
Valerie Palich, a human performance and exercise science major from Indianapolis, Ind.
