Milligan College 's restructure of physical plant operations creates new positions

MILLIGAN COLLEGE , TN (November 18, 2004) —Milligan College President Don Jeanes announced a restructure of the college’s physical plant operations. The physical plant’s operations have been reorganized into three distinct and separate teams managed by the following individuals: Kevin Hurley, Theresa McCrary and Jonathan Robinson. The team will plan and work together to accomplish the goals and tasks of the operation.

Kevin Hurley of Hampton has been named service manager of landscaping and grounds. Hurley graduated in 1999 from Milligan College with a bachelor of arts degree. Hurley has been part of the college’s landscaping team since 2003.

Theresa McCrary of Johnson City will serve the college as service manager of housekeeping. She has served for 11 years in the college’s housekeeping service.

Jonathan Robinson of Elizabethton has been named service manager of facilities. He graduated in 1993 from Milligan College with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. For 11 years, he served as manager of bookstore services.

In their new positions, these service managers will have authority for personnel, budgets, equipment and supplies for their individual teams. Each will report to Joe Whitaker, vice president for business and finance.

Jack Presnell is the new manager of bookstore operations, succeeding Robinson. Presnell previously managed and operated a business in Elizabethton.

Under this reorganization, all security responsibilities are now managed by Mark Fox, vice president for student development.

For the past 18 years, the physical plant has been under the direction of Leonard Beattie. Before his recent retirement, he assisted in the development and transition to this new operations plan.

“We are very pleased and blessed to have these individuals as part of our staff. They are highly committed individuals who work extremely well together with a strong focus on high quality service,” said Whitaker.
