MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 16, 2004) — The spring conference for the Tennessee Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA) will be held April 18–21 at the Meadowview Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport. Those attending will be financial aid representatives from Tennessee postsecondary schools, lending institutions, guarantee agencies, the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation and Department of Education representatives.
TASFAA is a state organization that brings together post-secondary schools and other public and private organizations involved with providing financial aid for students. Nancy Beverly, director of financial aid at Milligan College, serves as president of TASFAA. Diane Keasling, assistant director of financial aid at Milligan College, serves as conference local arrangements chair of TASFAA.
The TASFAA membership meets two times a year for conferences for professional development and fellowship. Conferences are held in the spring and fall of each year to update members on federal regulation changes and state financial aid programs concerning financial aid. This year 270 members are registered to attend the spring conference.
The Milligan College String Quartet will perform as the evening entertainment on Tuesday evening, April 20.
TASFAA was founded in 1967 in order to establish a community of members, who through the sharing of ideas and professional competencies and experiences, would more ethically and effectively serve the diverse needs of students, families and institutions.
