MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN–The Milligan College Music Department presents Rick Simerly and Francisco Fernandez in a joint faculty recital on Sunday, March 3, at 3:00 p.m. in Seeger Chapel.
Simerly, a trombonist, will perform a recital of selected jazz works by Billy Strayhorn, Eddie Harris, Charlie Christian, Benny Goodman and others. Joining Simerly will be Charles Goodwin on piano, Fred Goodwin on bass and Eddie Dalton on drums.
Simerly, associate professor of music, is the conductor of the Milligan College Jazz Ensemble and Pep Band. Fernandez is an adjunct professor that teaches applied study guitar.
