Pirates of Penzance

Milligan University Theatre offers a well-rounded performing arts education guided by highly qualified faculty at one of the South’s premier Christian liberal arts universities.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, Musical Theatre and Theatre Arts students gain a deep understanding of all performing arts components—matching talent with training and an empowering academic curriculum.

Students develop extensive knowledge in their specific concentrations, including a varied repertoire of performance techniques in acting and movement, technical theatre, and theatre education, as well as vocal technique, music, dance, and acting through song for musical theatre majors.

Milligan’s performance and fine arts programs embrace a collaborative learning environment that encourages artistic expression and storytelling through the utilization of music, theatre, film, and the visual arts. The disciplines, skills, techniques, and artistic excellence required for a career in theatre are developed in classes, workshops, performances, student-led projects, and a season of robust main stage productions.

Students graduate as confident theatre artists with a Christian ethos who are prepared to pursue a dynamic career or graduate training in the performing arts.
