Concert to memorialize World Trade Center victims

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (November 6, 2006) — The Milligan College Orchestra and Concert Choir will unite for a concert this Friday, Nov. 10, with music written to memorialize the victims of the World Trade Center attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Conducted by Dr. Kellie Brown, the concert is entitled “Salute to America ” and will feature music that illustrates the musical styles and landscapes of our country.

Featured vocalist is local singer and former Broadway vocalist Loretta Bowers. She will sing “Deep River” and “ America the Beautiful.”

The 7:30 p.m. concert will be held in Seeger Memorial Chapel on the Milligan College campus. Admission to the concert is free and the public is invited to attend. For more information contact the Milligan Music Office at 423.461.8723 or music@milligan.edu.
