| Shirley to assist with athletic development
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (August 28, 2003) — Milligan College is pleased to announce that soccer coach Marty Shirley has assumed a role as director of athletic development. Shirley, who also serves as men’s soccer coach, will develop corporate and individual athletic partners in the community and develop strategies to promote attendance and rally support for all Milligan’s athletic teams.
“As an athletic alumnus, I am excited about being able to assist all the sports teams in their fundraising and sponsorship endeavors,” said Shirley, who will work with the athletic staff and Institutional Advancement areas at Milligan on these initiatives.
Shirley holds a masters degree in Sports Management. He is a 1991 Milligan graduate and his wife Heidi is a 1993 alumnus.
