Computer Information Systems (CIS)
A Top Field for Expected Growth
The CIS major is designed to prepare students for a wide variety of careers, such as programmers, network managers, management information systems directors, and systems project leaders for applications in business, industry, and government.
Even in a difficult economy, careers in information systems (IS) are ranked among the top fields for expected growth. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that several careers in the computer field requiring a bachelor's degree will grow faster, through 2016, than other occupations requiring the same level of education.
Milligan College offers two options for students interested in completing the CIS major, the traditional undergraduate CIS major and an online CIS-Mobile program for non-traditional students or working professionals
interested in expanding their skill set.
